Week of April 28th

I watch a lot of soccer (or, for our international readers (if those actually exist), football). In this sport, they talk differently from American sports. In American sports, they talk about “matriculating the ball down the field” and “punishing the opponent.” In soccer, teams go into ascendencies and, more germane to this program, ask questions.

In the least smooth transition of all time, this week’s show was entitled asking questions. It fits into a larger show theme that I have been working with on the show called “The Grammar Rodeo.” This idea comes from an episode of The Simpsons where Bart gets a driver’s license then decides to rent a car. To create a cover, he says he’s going to the National Grammar Rodeo in Canada.

This intro sucks, so I’m going to stop. The overall point is that there were all songs that were questions this week on the show. Some questions were more provocative than others.

Rod McKuen and The San Sebastian Strings - Do You Like The Rain? - The Sea

Astrud Gilberto - Who Can I Turn To? (When Nobody Needs Me) - The Silver Collection

Air - How Does It Make You Feel? - 10,000 Hz Legend
